The latest news is that Godrej Agrovet Limited, India’s prominent agribusiness firm, has reappointed Balram Singh Yadav as its managing director. The time span of this Managing Director’s post is from May 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025.

Leadership journey of Balram Singh Yadav 

Since 1990, Mr Yadav has been an integral part of the Godrej Group. He became the MD of Godrej Agrovet in 2009 and has been instrumental in the growth and diversification of the company. During his tenure, the company achieved many milestones, including a highly successful IPO in 2017, which was oversubscribed by more than 96 times.

Yadav’s educational background is a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agricultural Science from Haryana Agricultural University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. His experience has played a key role in building successful poultry brands like Real Good Chicken and Yummiez.

Transition to New Leadership 

With effect from May 5, 2025, Sunil Kataria has been appointed as the CEO and MD in order to facilitate a seamless leadership transition. Subject to shareholder approval, Kataria will formally take over as CEO and MD on September 1, 2025, for a five-year term.

Sunil Kataria has more than 30 years of experience in different industries, such as consumer packaged goods, telecom, and retail. Previously, he was the managing director for Raymond Lifestyle and CEO of India & SAARC, Godrej Consumer Products Limited.
